I cannot think of enough superlatives to attribute to Midnight Hour. You just played at my daughter's wedding on October 4th. I knew when I heard the clip that your group was terrific, but you were above and beyond. One of my biggest fears was that no one would dance at the affair. That fear left quickly. Your sound is unbelievable, your members are talented (understatement), professional, and accomodating. There were more calls the next days than I could count. The music was diverse, not too loud, and helped to create the wedding of our dreams. I cannot thank you enough.

Hi Shavin!

Midnight Hour surpassed our expectations! Since we did not have a receiving line at the church, our plan was to get around to as many tables as possible at the reception. Our plan happily failed! We made it to three out of fourteen tables because the band had our guests (and ourselves) on the dance floor the entire night! We have since heard many wonderful things about Midnight Hour and the music selection from our family and friends and we are so pleased that you were such a big part of our day. Thanks for making our wedding reception a night we will never forget!

Thank you all so so much for putting on such an amazing show for our friends and family last night. Whenwe saw you play for the first time about a year ago we were blown away and told everyone that they were in for a really great time atour wedding. Fortunately, you not only proved us right, but you far exceeded our expectations! You sounded so fantastic and everyone told us so. Everyone wanted to know how we got in touch with you, and the consensus was that you were the best band anyone had ever heard at a wedding! Although tropical storm Hanna threatened to make our wedding a washout, you managed to take everyone's mind off the weather and had everyone dancing the entire night...we really are grateful to you all.

Private Residence: Surprise 40th Birthday Party

I went to a party on Friday night and Midnight Hour was there. They were excellent and really made the night. Often the band is something to have for just some of the entertainment, but not at this party! They really were impressive and the range of music really brought people together. If I knew they were performing at an upcoming event, I would go out of my way to be there!

Wow, wow, wow! We can't thank you and Midnight Hour enough for helping to make our reception a major success. Hope you and the band had as much fun as we did on June 14th! Weeks after the wedding, we continue to receive over the top compliments on how amazing the band sounded. You did an excellent job keeping the energy up, and everyone dancing from beginning to end. The announcements and order of events were seamless, and you didn't miss a beat. You were so accommodating throughout the whole planning process, making sure the reception flowed just how we wanted and that all of our special songs were played. You were great to work around our choreographed first dance, letting my fatherget up and do a few songs with the band, as well as making room for Mike to perform with his friend. It was truly the time of our lives! A recent compliment we received was that you were the best wedding band one of our guests had ever heard...and she's "heard a lot of wedding bands". Again, thank you for all you did and for making Midnight Hour's pure talent a huge part of our special day. We had Midnight Hour at our Wedding on December 8, 2007, and they were the life of the party! The bandleader, Shavin Duffy, was absolutely great to work with in the weeks leading up to our event. At our wedding reception, from the bridal party being introduced to Christmas music, to our first song (which the band learned for us and did aGREAT job with), to the band learning and playing "Fins", we can't even put in words how pleased we were! We are still getting compliments from everyone! We have to say, the only complaint we have is that the night went way too fast! Wow, what can we say that would do your band justice. I first saw your band online and requested a DVD. We listened to it and loved it.Then we came to the "Showcase of Bands" at the Crowne Plaza and we were hooked. We met Shavin and Tiny and the rest is history.We couldn't wait for the reception. We knew everything was going to be great. We had a fabulous reception site and great band. A great band I said, was I wrong! We had a fantastic band. Idon’t think the dance floor was ever empty, even during dinner. I can't tell you how many quests came up to inquire about your band. We had guests that don't normally dance out on the dance floor. My son said to me that he had to look up at you a number of times to see if you were really singing because is sounded so good, he thought it was a CD. We didn't get a chance to talk with you during or after the reception, but my husband and I wanted to thank you for the outstanding job your band did and how much we enjoyed the music. I'm sure we will be recommending you quite often, because after the "bride &groom" you were the hit of the night. Thanks again and keep playing such wonderful music.

I had Carol Armstrong and Stringsations play my ceremony music and it was beautiful! Midnight Hour provided background music for our cocktail hour and then player our reception--they were a HUGE hit! Dear Shavin, Joanne, and the rest of Midnight Hour- 



Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! There are no words 
to express how grateful we are to you for making our 
wedding such a special event in our lives. I can't 
even tell you how many people came up to me that night 
(and so many times since then) and said, "I love the 
band." "The band is amazing." "I want them to come 
to Michigan to do my wedding." And even, "I'd love to 
see the playlist you gave them. The song selection is 
so perfect. They play EVERYTHING!" And my response 
to all of them was, "You have no idea. They have gone 
above and beyond my expectations in preparation for 
tonight." 



I was the most annoying bride, emailing and calling 
you guys almost daily with requests that were outside 
the realm of usual requests (can you play this song? 
can we dance to this song?). I asked you to learn two 
songs, one for our first dance and one for the 
mother/groom dance, and you did. I wanted to sing to 
my husband in the ceremony, and you made it possible 
by providing me with the backing music and the sound 
system. And perhaps my craziest request, I had 
dreamed of recording a CD for my husband as a wedding 
gift, and not only did Joanne provide me with all of  the backing music for the CD, but Shavin offered to 
try to help me record it as well. 



You obliged every request no questions asked. You 
were so willing to help me make my vision a reality. 
And the night couldn't have been more perfect. You 
guys sounded the best that I'd ever heard you sound, 
and you created this almost palpable energy in the 
room. You could just feel this electricity in the 
air, and it lasted straight down to the very last 
song, at which point the crowd screamed out, "One more 
song! One more song!" and you obliged again. Sam and 
I can't stop talking about it (and neither can our 
friends and family... and it's been 3 weeks since the 
wedding!) 



I feel like it was fate that I went to Let Them Eat 
Cake last year with my parents and heard you guys 
playing. Everyone else there was tasting all the 
wedding cakes, and I'm going, "Who's the band? Mom, I 
love that band!!!" 



I just can't thank you guys enough. You were such a 
pleasure to work with, and you are all so talented at 
what you do. Thank you for making everything so 
wonderful. I can't wait to get the video so I can 
watch it all over again and see all the parts I 
missed. 🙂

Dear Shavin,

Bravo!!!!

I don't even know where to begin. Ryan and I could not have been more honored to have you play at our wedding. You all came so highly recommended, and you certainly blew the roof off the place. We have been inundated with phone calls and emails from family and friends on how great and FUN you were!! From the song choices, to your accuracy, to your energy, we felt as if you truly put your heart and soul into each and every performance. "Thunder Road" was certainly a highlight of my night... what a performance!!! Just watching you sing was very emotional for me. Each of you deserve alot of credit. For anyone considering the Midnight Hour band, let me tell you that this was the best investment of our entire wedding day.

Midnight Hour was not only professional and organized, but also went above and beyond any of our greatest expectations. The song selection was perfect. From Eminem to Stix and even Frank Sinatra, the music covered the tastes of all generations.

In an effort to make my day special, Midnight Hour learned several new songs which they played during our ceremony. Their rendition of Lady brought me to tears. Midnight Hour was even gracious enough to welcome me into a band member's home so that we could practice a duet for my husband. We will never forget my duet with Shavin.

To this day, our guests still rave about Midnight Hour. I have heard on several occasions, and I must agree that, "this was the best wedding band I have ever heard."
