Meet Our Team

Kurt Titchenell

BVTLive is Philadelphia’s premier entertainment agency for one reason: Kurt Titchenell and his devotion towards helping partygoers have fun through the gift of music! Kurt began studying music early on in life, leading him to pick up the trombone at age 15. Kurt has studied at Settlement Music School in Philadelphia and continued his studies at West Chester University where he received his degree.
In 1980, while attending West Chester University, Kurt co-founded the band Jellyroll. He performed in the band for 40 years and continues as the band leader to this day. As the leader of Jellyroll, the group has experienced tremendous success and has grown into one of the most sought-after bands on the east coast. Jellyroll’s defining moment may have been what many consider to be the ultimate honor that can be bestowed upon any entertainer: An invitation to perform at The White House. Jellyroll was invited by President Bush and First Lady, Laura Bush, to perform at the 2007 Congressional Ball. Acknowledged as a top Philadelphia band by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Jellyroll has also received “Best Of Philly” (Philadelphia Magazine), “Best Of Delaware” (Delaware Today), and “Best Of The Main Line” (Main Line Today) Awards. Most recently, Jellyroll was awarded the honor of being selected as one of the top 75 bands in the country by Modern Bride Magazine. In 1999, Kurt founded Brandywine Valley Talent, now BVTLive, which has become one of the area’s leading dance bands and full service, live music talent agencies. BVTLive acts will perform at over 1,000 events this year. Kurt’s dedication to his profession is evident in every aspect of his professional life. As President of BVTLive, Kurt is committed to making your event a success!

Paul Sottile

For Paul Sottile Jr., music is much more than just an affable sound; it is a way of life. Born in Philadelphia, Paul’s musical journey began at the age of four, as he was inspired by those closest to him: his family and their eclectic taste in music. It was Philly soul, jazz and big band, classical, rock and rhythm & blues that was the soundtrack of his early years. Paul’s road to success began at West Chester University, where he studied both classical and jazz piano. Inspired by the greats, like Miles, Monk and Coltrane, Paul continued his studies and graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in piano performance.

Graduating was only the beginning, as Paul’s euphonic quest has taken him all over the globe, allowing him to perform in France and all over North America. Paul’s philharmonic talents have been held in high esteem throughout the music world, as his skills have allowed him to play with the top Jazz artists in the most prestigious venues throughout the Philadelphia area. Additionally, Paul’s extraordinary knack for music has offered him the opportunities to play for private audiences the likes of Joe Namath, Barry Bonds, and the cast of HBO’s hit series “The Sopranos.” Paul’s search for musical glory is not relegated solely to the piano, as his talents expand to the realms of music production. Partnering with world renowned DJ and producer Junior Sanchez, Paul has collaborated on and recorded on songs and remixes with artists Katy Perry Cece Peniston, Good Charlotte, The Gorillaz, Madonna, Morningwood, Mya, and Shakira. In addition to his bustling schedule of weddings, private parties and corporate events with the well-known and in high demand band, Jellyroll, Paul is Director of Sales with BVTLive, Philadelphia’s premier Entertainment Company.
