Terry Klinefelter

Terry Klinefelter

A fantastic pianist, Terry is a performer equally at home in the classical and jazz idioms. In addition to appearances with many of Philadelphia’s finest jazz musicians, she has also been a guest artist on the Philadelphia Orchestra Chamber Music Series numerous times, and has performed at the Rome Festival, the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, the Chadds Ford Winery Jazz Festival, and the Arcady Festival in Bar Harbor, Maine. She is an Assistant Professor at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and is also the pianist for the Harrisburg Symphony. Terry plays solo or as a duo with bassist Paul Klinefelter, voted Philadelphia’s best jazz bassist, and as a trio with a drummer.

“She is a pianist of obvious technical prowess
who does not feel the need to be flashy…
One hears flashes of Keith Jarrett and Steve Kuhn in her intricate lines.”
– Cadence Magazine

“…on the cosmic cusp where Mozart might mingle with Mingus.”
