Kurt Titchenell is the founder and President of BVTLive!, the top live entertainment agency in Philadelphia. He is also the bandleader and co-creator of the award-winning dance band Jellyroll, Philadelphia’s Original Horn Party Band. As the trombonist, he has been performed with the band for over 40 years.

Kurt began studying music at an early age leading him to pick up the trombone at age 15. Kurt has studied at Settlement Music School in Philadelphia and continued his studies at West Chester University where he received his degree.
In 1980, while attending West Chester University, Kurt Titchenell co-founded the band Jellyroll. As the leader of Jellyroll, he led the band to become one of the most sought after acts in the Philadelphia area. Acknowledged as a top Philadelphia band by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Jellyroll has also received “Best Of Philly” (Philadelphia Magazine), “Best Of Delaware” (Delaware Today), and “Best Of The Main Line” (Main Line Today) Awards. Jellyroll was also awarded the honor of being selected as one of the top 75 bands in the country by Modern Bride Magazine.

In 1999 Kurt Titchenell founded BVTLive!, originally Brandywine Valley Talent, which has become the Philadelphia region’s leading dance band and full service, live music companies. BVTLive! acts will perform at over 1,500 events this year.
Kurt has become a sought after industry expert, whose entertainment advice has appeared on The Knot, as well as many publications, including Modern Bride, Main Line Today, Delaware Today Magazine and the Jewish Exponent to name a few. Kurt has also appeared on the Ultimate Weddings television show. He is a member of NACE (National Association for Catering and Events) and has served on the Philadelphia chapter’s executive board, as well as WIPA, the Wedding Industry Professionals of America, Philadelphia chapter. Kurt has also spoken as an expert for various other associations countrywide.

In 2007, Kurt and his band, Jellyroll, received the ultimate honor for any musician, an invitation to perform at the Congressional Ball, held in the East Room at The White House. The performance was so successful that the band returned for a repeat performance in 2008.
The band continues to perform at the highest level events, including Army Navy Galas, the Philly Auto Show Black Tie Tailgate Gala (the 2024 show was the 15th performance), The Philadelphia Eagles Home Opener, the MANNA Main Course Gala, various events at The Union League of Philadelphia, and many more.
