Carnivále: The Baddest Band on The Planet

From a very young age, El’Barak has been a professional singer and entertainer who has been captivating the attention of audiences ever since. He received formal musical training in West Philadelphia High School’s concert choir under the direction of Ms. Velma Simmons. She helped El develop his technical skill as a professional vocalist.

El’Barak continued to write and produce his own music, and did studio work with LL Cool J, Jazzy Jeff, and Chubby Checker. He has shared the stage with RnB icons Norman Connors, Jean Carne, Cameo, Tito Jackson, James Ingram, Ray Goodman & Brown, Bootsy Collins, as well as local Philly Jazz greats like Dexter Wansel, Sam Reed, Tony Williams, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Warren Orrie and the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble and Sax Queen, Fostina Dixon.

El’Barak became a notable force in the Philadelphia event scene as a band leader and front man for various bands and orchestras. His talents were displayed at various private events such as weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate and political galas; being held at many of the major hotels, banquet halls, country clubs and convention centers in the tri-state area.

In August 2008, El’s undying desire to be his “own man” and to be in control of his own destiny, led him to found Ascension Entertainment Group LLC. He ventured out with his own 11 piece party band he named Carnivále, and continued his tradition of excellence in entertainment in the event industry.

In 2021, El’Barak decided to team up with BVTLive! His band, Carnivále, continues to perform at many live events including our live bi-weekly showcases. Carnivále is looking forward to performing at many weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate events, and other live galas in the coming years with BVTLive. We are proud to include Carnivále as part of the BVTLive family.
