Mike Morby began photographing weddings when he was in college studying to be an art teacher. Morby Photography began organically as his clients were so impressed by his work that they referred him to friends via word of mouth in 2001. During the 2008 financial crisis, Mike and his team were almost forced to close their doors as they felt unequipped and without direction. Mike began turning down weddings so that they could take a deeper look into the future of the business. With the encouragement of a family member, they felt encouraged to take the business to the next level. In 2011, Mike began to feel reenergized and felt moved to attend Cliff Mautner’s photography workshop. This changed the way he looked at light and his style in general.
He has photographed over 400 weddings, averaging about 60 weddings a year, making him a much sought after photographer in the Philadelphia area. Beyond Philadelphia, Mike has traveled the country and world photographing weddings. His team of professionals are at the top of the industry and are constantly pushing each other to reach new levels of excellence.
Mike’s brand draws from his love for art to capture creative, emotional and dramatic imagery through the lens of a camera. Morby Photography is confident to create images that tell a story in the most compelling and creative way possible. In the same way, they assure that their photos will never go out of style so that the client will love them for years to come.
