In the 2023 Winter issue of The Knot Magazine, our owner and the bandleader of Jellyroll, Kurt, was interviewed and featured in ‘The Songs that Shape your Wedding’ section, asking his advice on how to keep a reception dance floor packed! His tips read below:
It’s important to have a surefire dance-floor-filling song to get the party moving after guests have dessert. High-energy songs work best – the tempos tend to be about 120bpm. were always reading the crowd and minimizing lulls! “

Jessica and the 6ABC crew came out to one of our live band showcases hosted at the Ardmore Music Hall to check out our Philadelphia wedding bands and film the segment. We had a blast jamming out with their crew!

BVTLive!’s luxury wedding band, Jellyroll, has been a part of the Best of the Main Line party for over a decade, winning the best wedding band and best cover band in 2023, and since 2010. BVTLive! Jellyroll band played at the 2023 Best of the Main Line hosted at the Drexelbrook.

Jellyroll has also won the Best of Delaware award since 2010 for Best Wedding Band. 2023 was no exception, and Jellyroll performed at the Chase Center on the Riverfront for the annual Best of Delaware Party in 2023 to celebrate all of the winners, as well as the many guests who attended!

BVTLive! had the pleasure of performing the wedding ceremony for Philadelphia Eagles legend, Jason Kelce and his beautiful bride Kylie at the Logan Hotel! The Ceremony was stunning, complete with Eagles players at every turn, and Kelce’s 120lb sheepdog to walk them down the aisle.
Our duo, with Nils Mossblad on saxophone and Jake Calberman on guitar, serenaded the lovely couple as they walked down the aisle. Fun fact: Kelce wanted a saxophonist for his ceremony because he plays sax himself!
Perhaps one of our most noteworthy wedding receptions for our band, Jellyroll, was when a father of the bride surprised his daughter during the father daughter dance with a rendition of My Girl by Tim McGraw, and Tim actually coming out on stage to perform!
This surprise not only shocked the bride, but shocked all of the guests as well as vendors. We knew about the surprise before and had to keep it quiet to make the moment special. It went above and beyond our expectations.

Jellyroll received perhaps the highest honor bestowed upon a band, and was invited by President Bush and First Lady, Laura Bush, to perform at the 2007 Congressional Ball. The Congressional Ball is attended by Congress as well as additional dignitaries and their guests.
After a private photo session with the President and First Lady in the East Diplomatic Reception Room, Jellyroll performed an almost three hour show only to be asked by President Bush for an additional 20 minute encore. In 2008, Jellyroll was asked back to the White House at the request of First Lady Laura Bush for her 44th high school reunion.
