At BVTLive!, our wedding bands play so many different types of events, that we are able to see certain up and coming trends in Philadelphia wedding music. One of the major growing trends is the concept of the "Wedding Weekend."
It used to be that a wedding was made up of two parts: the ceremony and the reception. Now, more and more families are deciding to extend their special day to encompass the entire weekend. Mundane planning sessions have become elegant and sophisticated preludes to the wedding day. Sometimes, the celebration continues after the reception, as more people throw after parties for guests they are closest too. The trend is also moving toward next-day brunches for family and friends who have made the trip from out of town to attend the wedding. BVTLive! has the unique combination of event planning experience and large and diverse roster of talent to provide appropriate wedding entertainment for every step of the process.
Philadelphia Wedding Music Trends for Rehearsal Dinners
Rehearsal dinners used to be wedding run-throughs followed by dinner. Now, they are so much more. A rehearsal dinner can be a stylish and elegant affair that will prepare a bridal party to participate in the wedding ceremony and festivities. BVT’s Jazz, Pop, and Classical division, Inspired Emotions, can provide ambience and sophistication with a classical guitarist, jazz vocalist, violinist, or any combination of musicians from our extended roster.
Philadelphia Wedding Music Trends for Ceremonies and Cocktail Hours
BVT provides two options for ceremony music and cocktail hours. If a BVT band is playing the reception, musicians from the band are able to play the ceremony and cocktail hour. We also provide the option to customize the ceremony or cocktail hour using some of Philadelphia’s very best musicians from our Inspired Emotions division.
Philadelphia Wedding Music Trends for Receptions
Any good reception needs someone to keep the energy flowing, and all nine of BVT’s exclusive dance bands have years of experience doing just that. BVT bands have the necessary combination of professionalism, event flow expertise, and musicianship to set your reception apart. Former clients frequently say they didn’t know a wedding reception could be so much fun until they had a BVT band perform.
Philadelphia Wedding Music Trends for After Parties
Sometimes the party doesn’t end when the reception ends. BVT can provide a large array of specialty acts to perform at an after party. There is nothing better than live music to keep a party going after a long day of ceremony, greeting extended family and friends, eating, drinking, and dancing. BVT can provide a steel drum player to infuse your after party with a Caribbean feel, or dueling piano players if you just want to belt out some Billy Joel or Elton John. BVT can also provide a Blend, or a DJ + Live combination to give your after party a club feel.
Philadelphia Wedding Music Trends for Next Day Brunches
Many times the commotion of a wedding reception doesn’t allow brides and grooms to spend adequate time with the ones they love, especially those who traveled from out of town for their special day. A post-wedding brunch can provide this much needed change of pace and BVT can provide laid back and elegant music to suit the occasion.
