Timing is Everything!
We have all been there, the wedding that started late! And I don’t mean, 5 or 10 minutes late. Do yourself, your vendors, and most of all, your guests a huge favor by creating a “Wedding Day Timeline”. Your guests may not notice when the timing is working, but they will definitely notice when it’s not! Take the time in advance to think through the flow of your “Big Day,” as it can make all the difference. You will want to outline everything that is taking place, starting with hair and make-up to the end of your reception, when you make your grand exit. You should include everything!
In addition, create an itinerary just for your bridal party. Beginning with what time each person is scheduled for their hair and make-up and what time everyone needs to be dressed and ready for photos. My biggest piece of advice, Always Pad Your Timing. Things always take longer then you expect, especially on the wedding day. If the earlier part of your day runs on time, more than most likely your ceremony will start on time and everything else that follows.
Keep in mind – if you arrive at your reception late, your reception will still end at the same time!
