Offering three stunning outdoor ceremony sites, a rustic, soft lit Manor Barn, as well as an elegant Crown Ballroom, the Brandywine Manor House is a breathtaking venue for any wedding. Nested in the heart of Chester County, amongst 85 acres of rolling landscapes, the Manor offers an intimate space for your event.

Having been built in the mid 1700s, as a simple log cabin on the plantation of Scott/Irish immigrants, James and Jane Mackelduff, the Manor House boasts a rich history. After establishing a large, 1,210 acre plantation, the Mackelduff family then pioneered one of the first and most successful grist and saw mills in the area. Come 1740, Samuel Mackelduff, the son of James Mackelduff, converted their quaint cabin into a stately 2-½-story house. The family furthered their influence in the community with their instrumental role in the founding of the Forks of the nearby Forks of the Brandywine Presbyterian Church.

The Mackelduff house stayed within the family until the early 1900s. The Manor caught the eye of Dr. and Mrs. Eck in 1983; they purchased the property and over the next twenty years, worked to restore it to its natural beauty. Brandywine Manor House featured its first wedding and ceremony in 2002. Since its inception, the Manor has proudly featured only one wedding at a time, allowing all attention to be focused on the bride and groom’s special day. It is this very dedication that has let the property flourish and become a desired wedding venue in the area.

In 2010, following a large fire, the Brandywine Manor House underwent major renovation. As sheer luck and good fortune would have it, the oldest part of the structure was untouched, leaving a piece of precious history preserved. Over the next few years the Manor House was rebuilt; renovations returning it to its former glory. In addition to its unique outdoor venues, the Manor now features lighted gazebos, pergola, footbridges, waterfalls, and arbor. Come September, the Brandywine Manor House will boast four cocktail hour sites, six ceremony sites, and four reception sites, giving clientele the utmost variety for their special day.
