Strangers perform at Lemon Ball

The 2014 Alex’s Lemonade Stand ‘Lemon Ball’ was an “amazing evening” as quoted by the foundation, who thanked everyone who made the event a success. A special thanks went out to sponsors Northwestern Mutual , Toys R Us, and Volvo . There were many highlights to the evening including the poignant award presentations and the inspirational participation from childhood cancer heroes who both presented and received awards.

The 2014 Lemon Ball sold out similar to year’s past with over 900 guests raising just under $900,000. The event also sported a live auction that was said to raise a total of $160,000 in a matter of minutes. The night offered cocktails and desserts to go along with dancing to the sounds of our very own Strangers.

Strangers band leader, Denny Bloomingdale even helped present some awards while giving guests a fabulous, eclectic performance of decades of the best dance music. Alex’s Lemonade Stand was ecstatic to book Strangers for a fourth time of their eight total Lemon Ball galas.
