On February 7th at 7:00 pm The Pennsylvania Convention Center hosted the 28th annual Philadelphia Auto Show Black Tie Tailgate Gala. All proceeds went to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia courtesy of the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia. Sponsors of the event were Mercedes-Benz and Lexus. Thousands of people came out to the event to show their support for the hospital and rose over $500,000 for the children. A variation of 700 vehicles from multiple dealerships and manufacturers were showcased Friday evening for the guests to admire.
BVTLive! provided the live entertainment including the bands, Back2Life, The Tony Forliano Trio, Sottile and Jellyroll. Back2Life, Sottile and The Tony Forliano Trio were placed in different parts of the massive Broad Street Atrium where guests could eat, drink and enjoy the music while looking at the pristine cars. Back2Life played party favorites and hit songs towards the north entrance of the atrium while Sottile, featuring well known pianist Paul Sottile, David Brody (bass), and Matt Cappy (trumpet) and The Tony Forliano Trio played smooth jazz in select spaces of the atrium to best entertain all guests. At 9:00 pm attendees were escorted into the Grand Ballroom where they were welcomed to the dance floor by Jellyroll. During their live set, Jellyroll performed a wide variety of songs ranging from classics such as Respect by Aretha Franklin, to today’s hits including Wake Me Up by Avicii.
After an elegant night of browsing the acclaimed vehicles, guests capped the evening by dancing the night away alongside Mercedes-Benz and Lexus cars to Jellyroll’s award winning music.
