Selecting the perfect wedding tuxedo for the Groom:
As a tuxedo specialist I encourage the Groom to try on his entire wedding tuxedo prior to making his final decision with a free Groom’s preview.
A Grooms custom fitting rental tuxedo should fit as if you purchased it and was tailored for you. The shoulders should fit snugly and the sides should be tapered. The whites in the shirt should protrude beyond the jacket sleeves as well.
At your Groom’s preview you should consider trying on a modern or trim fitting tuxedo, a trim fit shirt and flat front pants to see how it looks on you. You don’t need to be thin to pull it off! If you don’t see it, you will never know. Bring a camera to compare looks.
Are you entertaining out-of-town groomsmen? What is your plan for the pick up or delivery of the tuxedos and what is the plan for ill fitting tuxedos?
When picking up your tuxedos, it is important to make sure they have a tailor on site to handle any last minute alterations while you wait.
Have you considered hiring a personal dresser for the Groom and his men? The personal dresser will put the finishing touches on that special look right down to pinning the boutiners and tying the self ties for the men in your party. You could call him your second best man.
The wedding is over, everyone had a great time. You had a beautiful brunch the next day for all your guests that traveled so far to be with you. Don’t worry about returning the tuxedos, have it arranged to be picked up from the tuxedo shop. This will be a nice service for the members of your wedding party.
