We are currently in a very uncertain time where no one can quite predict how long the coronavirus/COVID-19 is going to last or how it is going to continue to affect the Philadelphia area. The CDC recommends no events of more than 50 people for the next 8 weeks. Sadly, this pertains to weddings and entertainment venues.
What if your wedding is within that eight-week window?
Well, you have two options:
Postpone Your Wedding Date (recommended)
This option gives you the opportunity to still celebrate and get married with the company of your friends and family, just as you had planned. While we cannot be certain that the Coronavirus outbreak will be over in 8 weeks, choosing a date starting in the summer of 2020 and beyond is a good option. Start by checking with your venue for available dates. With so many brides and grooms in a similar position, venues and other wedding professionals will do the best they can to accommodate a rescheduled wedding date. #SaveEvents
Cancel Your Wedding Date
While we do not recommend this option, we understand that it is a reality for some brides and grooms. If your wedding has to be canceled, think about hosting a party to celebrate your marriage sometime this coming summer or beyond. This isn’t ideal, but a party would be something to look forward to after the COVID-19 virus passes.
Planning Your Wedding For Late 2020-2022?
Wedding planning can be overwhelming and adding the stress of the Coronavirus sure doesn’t help. We are here to reassure you that if you are in the midst of planning your wedding, we here at BVTLive! are here to help!
Where Should You Start?
With so many wedding dates being postponed and rescheduled, it is extremely important that you nail down a wedding date. Many couples who were supposed to get married in the next 8 weeks are now having to move their date to further in the future, limiting the options you may have. While you may not be able to attend open houses, tastings, or live band showcases, many companies, including BVTLive! have options to still plan your wedding during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Choosing Your Wedding Entertainment
Many entertainment companies provide the opportunity to come see their dance bands, DJs, and specialty acts live at a showcase. Live band showcases truly gave each couple the ability to feel out the band and talk with the bandleader right then and there. However, with the CDC recommendation of no public gatherings of over 50 people, these events to come to a halt. While this is disappointing to the entertainment industry it also can cause couples to feel lost on how to decide on a wedding band. We here are BVTLive! are inviting couples to our office in Chadds Ford, PA for a private, virtual showcase experience! We know that there is a lot of uncertainty during this time, but we reassure you that our experienced staff and bandleaders will take great care of you. This NEW opportunity will allow couples to watch videos, filmed live, of all our top Philadelphia wedding bands. With over 10 award-winning wedding bands to choose from, we are here to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Our staff is constantly on top of washing their hands, sanitizing surfaces and practicing social distancing of 6+ feet. In fact, we also ensure that there would never be over 10 people at the office at one time.
