COVID-19 Wedding Help: 4 Reasons To Book Your Wedding Now

Wedding & Party Advice

Now that we are seeing the light at the end of the COVID-19 tunnel, newly engaged couples are excited to book their dream wedding without the fear of multiple restrictions.  The Wedding industry is beginning to thrive again as the pent up demand is driving new bookings.  Here is some post COVID Wedding help and advice for couples to think about:

Post COVID wedding availability for 2021 is becoming limited

Now that many of these restrictions being lifted or lightened in the wedding industry (with hope of a vaccine by the end of 2020), brides and grooms are looking to move forward with their post COVID wedding plans.

Many couples are looking to lock in their dream venue, and other wedding professionals (like the best wedding bands or best wedding DJs), for a 2021 wedding, only to find that the selection slim.  The fact is that most 2020 weddings have rescheduled, and are now being held in 2021 which takes up most inventory and availability for new weddings next year.

The Most Reliable Professional Wedding Bands Are Booking Up First

Most wedding venues and professionals have come to the difficult conclusion that, to keep their couples happy, and their reputation intact, COVID wedding help has advised it is best to simply move the 2020 weddings to 2021.  To the wedding industry’s credit, they are doing the right thing even as they are losing up to a year’s worth of revenue.  This also a reason to do business with very sound and reputable companies!

Look for companies that have been operating through the pandemic with little disruption, while keeping in mind that everyone in the wedding business has been affected to some extent.  Strong businesses will survive and ultimately thrive. These are made up of wedding pros that are creative, and able to adapt.  An obvious example is the popularity of micro-weddings, where scaled down weddings take place now, and are often followed by traditional big parties later, many of which will be next year.

High Demand for Weddings, Live Wedding Music & wedding DJs is Rolling over into 2022

Although 2020 is unprecedented, and certainly the toughest year on record for wedding pros, and 2021 will be busy with celebrations that were originally booked for the previous year, the outlook is extremely positive. There is still strong availability and demand for wedding services in the fourth quarter, and in off peak times, for 2021.  It will be a busy year for the industry, and the venues, entertainers, photographers, planners, florists, designer pros, party bands, and wedding DJs, it can’t come soon enough.

As for 2022, it will be another amazing year, as the industry is already booking up prime dates, and it is currently well over a year from today. As couples are starting to realize that there is very limited availability for 2021, we are starting to see demand for weddings in 2022 increase much sooner than they normally would have. Many of the venues, and other companies are thankfully bringing back furloughed employees as the demand is returning to normal and it is expected that the pent up demand will sustain this trend for many years to come.

Save Yourself Some Money – “Less Popular” Dates are Becoming More Normal

Although prime dates for 2021 are already almost filled up, there are still many couples who are set on getting married next year. Because of this, many couples are moving from a popular Saturday to a Thursday or Sunday (which traditionally have been less popular). This is going to make 2021 one of the busiest wedding years in history and additionally is helping to change the stigma of these “un-popular” dates to become more normal!

Not only does this open up a wide range of date availability; it is also going to save you money! Most wedding professionals will offer reduced pricing on less popular dates such as Thursdays which could save you a LOT of money. Rather than choosing that overly popular October Saturday, choose the Thursday before instead. Not only will you have a wider range of available options for wedding venues and wedding professionals to choose from, but this could also save you thousands!

What Should Couples Do Next?

Don’t delay your planning – lock in your dream venue, wedding band, wedding DJ and other elements that will make your wedding unforgettable.  With all of the above in mind, we highly recommended that if you are hoping to have your wedding within the next couple years, you start making decisions and choosing your most vital wedding professionals right away.

So get started, and enjoy the journey, as planning your wedding should also be an amazing, and unforgettable experience!
