BVTLive! Bands Rock 37th Annual Flyers Wives Carnival

The 37th annual Flyer’s Wives Carnival took place this past Sunday, January 26th. This is the eighth straight year in which BVTLive! provided the live entertainment for the charity organization. The event is one of the oldest professional sports charity events in existence proving to be a tremendous success each year. The carnival is geared to appeal to the greatest of Philadelphia Flyer’s fans, especially families with kids. Each member of the Flyer’s were in attendance providing meet and greets, autographs, and playing games with the kids. All of the Flyers players played different roles in the event organized by their wives. Wayne Simmonds and Braydon Coburn could be found playing Mario Kart with younger fans; while captain Claude Giroux was in his exclusive booth signing autographs and meeting a long line of fans. You could even find players like Matt Read in the dunk tank and goalie Steve Mason letting kids take shots on him in goal.

Flyer’s long time commentator Steve Coates was also in attendance interviewing players and fans all over the Wells Fargo Center. “Coatesy” even stopped to chat with BVTLive! president Kurt Titchenell about the bands that were performing at the carnival. BVTLive! provided all of the live entertainment for the event, including hour long sets from Dynamic Ground, Field of Play, and Strangers. While the live band sets took place on the Wells Fargo floor BVTLive! also provided musicians for the Bud Light Zone next to Chickie & Pete’s in the concessions area. The Britton Brothers performed with Jellyroll’s Mark Teague providing some incredible sounds for parents taking a break from the action to have a drink.

Once again the wives of the Philadelphia Flyers put on another amazing event. Everything offered throughout the day was a complete success. From meeting players, to dancing with the live band, every aspect catered perfectly to the event’s atmosphere. Entertaining family fun for a beneficial cause always makes for a great charity event. BVTLive! would like to thank the Flyers wives for allowing us to provide the entertainment for an eighth straight year!
