The “Here for the Making” 2014 Annual Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau Luncheon was hosted last week on the eve of Thanksgiving. This year, BVTLive! was again a proud sponsor of this event with industry leaders all across the Philadelphia region to meeting up to network . This is Philadelphia’s largest hospitality event.
The PHLCVB makes efforts to improve the economy and generate job growth in Philadelphia. Recruiting meetings, conventions, sporting events and travelers to the city, this corporation aims to put Philadelphia on the map as the place to be for diverse convention and tourism customers.
Amidst the ambiance of purple, red, and green lighting, Advanced Staging Productions also provided top notch sound and video components. BVTLive! presented an impressive 4 piano Dueling Piano Dudes ensemble in the Terrace Ballroom that followed the solo-jazz styling’s of Paul Sottile in the main lobby area. Guests coming in from the cold sleet and snow mix were greeted by the Best of Philly Pops recordings again through the magic of ASP.
The Dueling Piano Dudes performed authentic renditions of Billy Joel, Elton John, several tributes to Philly’s own Gamble and Huff and much more. Food catered by Aramark, some of which was beautifully arranged by the Creative Juice Group, kept guests happy all afternoon. Linens by Choice Linens and hip and modern lounge groupings by Cort Furniture set a causal but elegant tone to the Terrace Ballroom.
BVTLive’s own Joanne Farrell, Midnight Hour vocalist, was also honored to introduce the afternoon’s program with the singing of the national anthem. The room was pushed to tears and goose bumps as Joanne stood before the backdrop of the American Flag.
BVTLive! once again was honored to be a sponsor of this year’s event at the Philadelphia Convention Center. As a local business, we are very proud to be located near the great city of Philadelphia. We are always enthused to contribute to such a great event presented by an organization that continues to help our city flourish.
