How to Book a Wedding Band in Philadelphia During Coronavirus & COVID-19

Advice

As our nation begins to recover and open up in the tail end of a global pandemic, it may be difficult to gauge how to continue with your wedding planning while coronavirus/COVID-19 is still a concern. The great news is that while things begin to re-open, no matter how comfortable you feel, there are many answers to the question of how to book a wedding band in Philadelphia during Coronavius and COVID-19.

Live Band Virtual Showcases

In the past, live band showcases featuring multiple band performances in a single night were a common occurrence, where couples were offered the opportunities to see bands almost weekly. With the current state of things, we want to take all precautions to keep couples and families as safe as possible and can not be exactly sure of when live band showcases will begin again. With that being said, there are two alternative options to live band showcases as follows.

1. Private Office Wedding Band Consultations

As restrictions on the states are being lifted, we here are BVTLive are inviting couples to our office in Chadds Ford, PA for a private, virtual showcase experience!

With a state of the art video show room, we are able to physically distance and sit with couples one-on-one, watch live videos of the bands, and questions while maintaining all CDC guidelines for health and safety. We know that there is a lot of uncertainty during this time, but we reassure you that our experienced staff and bandleaders will take great care of you in our sanitary space, helping to find the perfect wedding band while maintaining a safe distance. We have used this space in the past for couples to experience live wedding band showcases from Jellyroll, one of our top wedding bands, and it has served to be a very helpful tool for those couples.

Now we are excited to continue using this space for a new purpose as we continue to help you find the best wedding band in Philadelphia that is the right fit for you. With over 10 award-winning wedding bands to choose from, we are here to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Submit a contact form on our website, or call 610.358.9010 to schedule a consultation.

2. Virtual Wedding Band Showcases

We also understand that during this time, even with all the precautions taken, many individuals feel the most comfortable staying in at the comfort of their home.

If this is the case, many companies have adapted and developed many new ways to showcase their offerings such as, virtual band showcases. These virtual band showcases give couples the chance to watch a FULL Live band showcase previously recorded at one of our live showcases.

Following each band, there is a live Q&A with the band leader where couples have the opportunity to ask any questions that they may have. If you are interested in watching a virtual band showcase, please register here.

Warning – Deceptive Band Videos

While working from home, many couples have been using the internet to its fullest potential to continue their wedding planning and to book a wedding band in Philadelphia.

Watching videos of bands can be a very useful tool, but be warned of smoke and mirrors!! With today’s advanced video technology, many companies and bands are able to use these tools to falsely enhance the bands quality by covering up mistakes, laying in karaoke tracks, auto-tuning (a digital technique to fix poor singing quality), and using lights, smoke machines, and video editing that does not accurately depict how the band will sound and look at YOUR WEDDING.

Be sure to ask for live videos of the band performing without significant “flashy” editing.

Personal Video Consultations

In booking your wedding band in Philadelphia and beyond, it is just as important to know and trust the team that you will be working with as well as knowing you have a skilled and talented band. In searching for your wedding band, the most professionals will want to get to know you a bit personally. Zoom calls and video chats are a great way to connect and get to know both your company, team, and band leader. This will give you a good idea of their personality and give you the opportunity to ask any questions regarding your specific night.

Research Online Reviews for Wedding Bands

Considering couples are not able to see their wedding band options live right now, one of the most re-assuring things you can do is hear from other couples who have used the band before.

Reviews and testimonials are a great way to gauge the talent of a wedding band in Philadelphia. Wedding Wire and The Knot are great tools to read reviews from couples, and be sure to also check out their google business page as well. Another great thing to ask for are video testimonials. Videos directly from the couples are a very authentic way to see the excitement and memories that the band helped create for a past couples wedding day.

Don’t Wait. Take Action to Book Your Wedding Band Once You Find Them!

If you find a band that you really like, book them right away!

This is not a sales tactic. It is important to realize the demand of bands that has been created due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At our company alone we have rescheduled over 150 weddings to 2021 and wedding wire estimates that 2021 will have 60% more weddings than any other year so far. Because of this, availability is becoming very limited and a wedding band in Philadelphia may book sooner than you are expecting.

With that being said, don’t delay on locking them in until you see them live. The time is now. Be sure you have a team that you feel comfortable with and trust, and a band with positive reviews and videos that show how the band truly sounds.
