This past weekend was action packed for the BVTLive! team, with performances at The Pennsylvania Convention Center, and Union League to a few other unique wedding and event venues, from Villanova to Cape May. Here is a recap of our very busy weekend:
Philadelphia Auto Show Black Tie Tailgate with Jellyroll
At the Philadelphia Auto Show Black Tie Preview Gala on Friday, January 29th, Jellyroll performed along with other BVTLive! acts, including Sway, Dueling Piano Dudes and the Tony Forliano Jazz Trio. This was the 10th year that BVTLive! provided the live music throughout the Pennsylvania Convention Center for this great event. The Black Tie Preview Gala benefits the Philadelphia Auto Dealers CARing For Kids Foundation, so we are proud to support this great cause. Over 4,700 guests previewed the Auto Show while enjoying our entertainment supporting the foundation. This year the money was raised for Division of Neurology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Appleford Bridal Event
With over 160 Bridal Events happening from January to March in the Tri-State area so far this year, Villanova’s upscale Appleford Bridal Event was one to remember. With Lou Lanza performing on the antique baby grand in the parlor of the mansion and John Serock Catering of West Chester providing the delicious food, this turned out to be a great event.
BVTLive! is a preferred partner for Appleford, and we wanted to show our thanks to executive director Laurie McGrath for having us.
Finley Catering Tasting at The Crystal Tea Room
Finley Catering, the prestigious and exclusive caterer and operators of the historic Ballroom at The Ben and Crystal Tea Room, as well as Union Trust and the soon to open Ballroom at Ellis Preserve, offer their clients the opportunity to sample their wedding food in advance. As a recommended partner, we provide the background soundtrack for the events. This year, our teams own Billy Handy performed for the guests on their beautiful Grand Piano. Thank you to Trish, Michelle, Tom, Margo, Emily, Nicole and Steve for inviting us to these great events.
Congress Hall Bridal Event
BVTLive!’s very own Nils Mossblad took the trip to Cape May to represent our company at this historic Jersey Shore Hotel and venue, Congress Hall. Our BVTLive! DJ Hooks provided the music for the event as the Congress Hall brides and grooms sampled their culinary choices prepared by the catering staff under the direction of the catering manager, Krystina Kennedy.
A musical highlight of the day was when saxophonist Nils took out his instrument and played together with DJ Hooks, offering the guests a sample of our popular new Fusion concept, where a world class musician performs with a dynamic DJ. Thanks to Krystina and Colleen for including us in all of your events.
Bridal Show at the Phoenixville Foundry
Big Ric of our Big Ric Rising band, Joanne Farrell of Midnight Hour and Rich Plunkett performed a variety of music at the Foundry’s Winter Bridal Show on Sunday. Thanks to J. Scott Catering for the great food, and to Caroline, Alia and the rest of the Foundry team for the invitation. The Foundry is a unique industrial chic venue located in Phoenixville’s hot new downtown area. The photographer at this event was David Campli, an award winning wedding and portrait photographer who got some great shots.
Jellyroll Performs at the Union League
Whenever we have a chance to perform for our friends, it is always a great time. The Union League of Philadelphia is one of our favorite venues at which to perform. Sunday, January 31st was special because Jellyroll was honored to perform for some great friends, the employees of The Union League. The party was held at The Rittenhouse Hotel where Bruce Mullen and his team provided the 5 star experience that The Union League deserves, and that The Rittenhouse is known for. Thank you to Jeff McFadden, Stewart Mahan and the Union League for offering this opportunity to create some high energy Jellyroll fun!
